East and West Horsley

Whilst the historic villages of East and West Horsley offer a taste of idyllic semi-rural charm, the welcoming community spirit at their heart means they’re far from sleepy and unassuming.

Locally referred to as “The Horsleys”, these adjacent villages are nestled on the edge of the picturesque Surrey Hills – making it easy to understand why they are amongst the county’s most desirable postcodes.

Those fortunate to call it ‘home’ are spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor pursuits and local attractions, with boundless choice for all ages to explore on their doorstep. There are plentiful scenic walking and cycling routes in and around the nearby Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – perfect for families, dog walkers and adventure seekers alike. During the summer the exquisite Hatchlands Park, with sweeping lawns and acres of parkland to discover, is particularly lovely.

If it’s more relaxed weekends being sought, The Horsleys offer an array of independent cafés, shops and eateries to sample; allowing you to enjoy local produce from the surrounding areas. There are also several excellent pubs, such as the striking Duke of Wellington, where you can test your skill at one of their popular quiz nights and sample their plentiful selection of guest ales and cocktails.

For commuters, transports links are straightforward, with Horsley Railway Station providing regular trains to both Guildford and London Waterloo. The nearby A3 and M25 also allow efficient routes to London and the wider South East, with even Gatwick and Heathrow airports just over half an hour away. The ideal location of The Horsleys means they’re able to strike a balance between appealing semi-rural life, easy access to further afield and buzzing local amenities; in all, an absolute treasured find.
